Designing a Home Craft Room

Last week we addressed Workshops for Hobbyists. So this week is for all those crafty people that need a craft room not a true workshop. Keep in mind for a great craft area you need three basics - Organization, Inspiration and Good Light.

We hope the articles we have put together will get your creative juices flowing in defining your needs for a space that is productive and inspirational.

The first article is from HGTV 40+ Ways to Turn Any Space Into a Dream Craft Room by Chelsea Faulkner. We felt this was a great article to start with, as it really gets you thinking about all the possible locations and configurations available within your home. https://www.hgtv.com/design/design-blog/design/how-to-turn-any-space-into-a-dream-craft-room

This next two articles, one from martha stewart How to Design and Organize the Ultimate Craft Room by Emily Goldman and the second from the spruce 15 Creative Craft Room Organization Ideas by Lauren Thomann, expand on the first article with information on creating an inspirational environment plus lots of organizational ideas and furniture options. https://www.thespruce.com/craft-room-organization-ideas-4163942

Last but really not least is lighting your craft area and for that we have the following article from NEXT MODERN HOME Best Lighting For Craft Room! By Robert L Towler that covers different options and what to consider when selecting.
