    TIMES SQUARE NEW YEAR’S EVE

“Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, NYE 2021 will NOT be open to the public this year — but there will be live performances, and we hope all of you will enjoy the virtual celebrations safely from the comfort of your own home. New Year's Eve 2021 might look a little different than usual, but one thing that will never change is the ticking of time and the arrival of a New Year at midnight on December 31st. Found this article online from The Seattle Times

“23 fun activities to do with kids using stuff you already have at home, as you wait out coronavirus closures” By JiaYing Grygiel

We thought it would be a great article to share for this holiday break, while we are encouraged to stay home.  The activities are creative and fun, plus the article provides the recipes for homemade Play Dough and Slime.

Recipe Ideas from The Marcelino Team

I am a big fan of creating personalized gifts as they always seem a little more meaningful. Last year I came up with the idea of creating The Marcelino Team Recipe Books for our team with a collection of recipes from people within our office and from some of our current and past clients. It appears I did a great job asking for recipes, telling them I was bored with cooking the same stuff all the time and needed ideas, no one had any idea what I was doing! I hope you will enjoy trying some of these out with your family. Happy Holidays! ~Shannon

*The recipes that will be shared here were not necessarily created by The Marcelino Team or anyone within the office, unless noted. They may have been taken from a book or website and we claim no ownership to them.*

Lets Start with Breakfast! This was not in our Recipe Book but it I think I will be adding it!

TIME CHANGE IS THE DAY AFTER HALLOWEEN THIS YEAR

This year we go back to Standard Time on Sunday 11/1, when the majority of the USA will be “falling back”  as they change the clocks.  With the time change happening on the busy Halloween weekend, we want to remind you to do one of the most important things- Replace the batteries in your Smoke Detectors and Carbon Monoxide Detectors.

                    Halloween Scavenger Hunt

                    HALLOWEEN SCAVENGER HUNT

One of the Halloween Lower Risk Activities from CDC.gov was doing a Halloween scavenger hunt where children are given lists of Halloween-themed things to look for while they walk outdoors from house to house admiring Halloween decorations at a distance, OR  having a scavenger hunt-style trick-or-treat search with your household members in or around your home rather than going house to house, OR here are directions/ideas for doing a virtual hunt. https://www.playpartyplan.com/virtual-scavenger-hunt/
